FIJET Academy Program for Young Journalists 2018 will be held in Izmir, Turkey. It will be a 7 day residential program for journalists between 18 and 35 years of age. Participants will be hosted by Yaşar University and accommodated in dormitory rooms at Bornova Campus, in the heart of İzmir.
This 7 day program will be between 12th and 19th August 2018 and it consists of social programs and academic lectures.
The academic lectures will be given by Turkish and International distinguished professors who are specialized in their fields. The lectures will be in English and each talk will be on tourism, archeology, history, journalism and self-development, and be delivered at Yaşar University and at Medical Park Hospital in Karşıyaka, İzmir. The participants will observe an online newspaper preparation at the Association of Journalists in İzmir.
As part of the social program the excursions are organized in accordance with the educational purpose of the whole program and will have an important contribution to it. Within the excursions program the participants will be able to visit some UNESCO world heritage sites of İzmir and go to places where they can gain as much information as possible and familiarize with the local culture.
